Jeff Stanek has been the chief financial officer for the City of
Madison Water Utility since January 2019. His primary
responsibilities consist of the overall financial management for the
utility including oversight of financial reporting, rate-case proceedings
and compliance with accounting and regulatory standards. Prior to
the Water Utility, Jeff was a senior manager with the accounting and
advisory firm, Baker Tilly, for twelve years where he specialized in
providing financial audit and consulting services for public electric,
water and wastewater utilities throughout the United States. He is a
certified public accountant (CPA) and attained his BA in accounting
and finance from the University of Wisconsin – Eau Claire in
December 2006. In his personal time he enjoys biking, hiking, skiing,
golfing and various other outdoor activities.
